Owners Delroy Levy and Chef Kemis Lawrence have teamed up to bring you this modern fast-casual take on traditional Caribbean flavors
Chef Kemis was exposed to the traditional cuisine of his country and culture as a young boy in his grandmother's kitchen. He began his career in the upscale hotels of Montego Bay, Jamaica; and came to the US in 2001 where he has spent the last 16 years working with some of the city's most renowned French, Japanese and Contemporary American chefs. After more than 20 years of culinary experience, he has developed his own style, best described as a fusion of Caribbean flavors with classical cooking techniques. He has been recognized and published in several cookbooks for his distinct approach to Caribbean food. Chef Kemis resides in Brooklyn with his wife and children.
